Village de Sóller lies in a fertile valley surrounded by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, about 30 minutes from Palma. Known for its citrus groves, stone houses, and elegant Plaça de la Constitució, it’s one of Mallorca’s most beautiful and authentic towns.

The village’s centerpiece, the Sant Bartomeu Church, was designed by Joan Rubió, a disciple of Gaudí, and overlooks a square lined with cafés and orange trees. Sóller is also home to the famous wooden train to Palma, which winds through olive groves and tunnels — one of the island’s most scenic routes.

A short tram ride connects the village to Port de Sóller, a serene harbor with restaurants, shops, and beaches. With art galleries, markets, and mountain trails, Sóller perfectly blends rural charm, culture, and coastal beauty.

Chief Officer Darwin recommends taking the historic train from Palma to Soller, lunch at Organic in Soller, drinks in the square and then train back in time for sunset on the mountain

I have also done this little trip myself and its stunning – Lisa
