Grotto Palazzese is a stunning cliffside restaurant set within a large limestone grotto carved naturally by waves over centuries. The dining terrace sits open-air inside the cave, illuminated by the soft glow of the sea and natural light reflecting from the water below. Guests dine surrounded by rugged rock formations, turquoise waters, and dramatic coastal views.
Unique setting — a restaurant literally carved inside a cave overlooking the sea
Romantic atmosphere — candlelight, ocean breezes, waves crashing beneath
Historic origins — used as a banquet hall since the 1700s
Photogenic — one of Italy’s most photographed and dreamlike dining spots
Dining there feels intimate, dramatic, and surreal — like eating in a secret ocean cavern with the sea just a few meters below. As daylight fades, the grotto glows with warm lighting, adding to the magical atmosphere.
