Tucked into Rue Sainte in Marseille’s 7ᵉ arrondissement, La Cave à Jambon nails the vibe of a cozy Spanish tapas bar with a local twist. What started as an authentic épicerie-dégustation has evolved into a full bar-tapas / cocktail destination after dark.

The décor leans rustic yet warm, with Spanish charm — think hanging jambons, wooden accents, dim lighting. The menu is full of classic Spanish flavors: jamón ibérico (Pata Negra, Bellota), chorizo, patatas bravas, croquetas, seafood tapas, and more.

In the evenings it transforms, with a more intimate, cocktail-bar feel. They serve sangria, cocktails, beer (including Spanish ones), wines from Rioja and Iberia — even draft Spanish beer now.

It’s lively but not overwhelming — a place to chat, taste, sip, linger. Many reviewers call it an ideal spot for evening tapas with friends.

Evening “bar & tapas” from 18:00, late services until midnight or later (02:00 on weekends)

Also now opens at midday (lunch) in recent times
