It is a bar-cinema / cine-club / vidéothèque — combining a video club, a bar with terrace, and a cinema showing alternative, experimental, heritage, documentary, and activist films.
Programming is eclectic and independent, often outside of mainstream commercial cinema, with cycles, themed evenings, and a commitment to accessibility
The venue is run by the association Solaris, in collaboration with SCOP DCA, and hosts around 400 screenings a year for about 10,000 spectators
It has a collection of 6,000 DVDs shared via its vidéothèque, supporting both community programming and film culture, it also has a terrace, bar, and neighborhood cinema atmosphere
